About the Host Lisa P. Singer
I’ve spent my career connecting people with the information they need. For 27 years in IT, that meant building secure data networks—the technological infrastructure for businesses to access and leverage their information. Now, as a podcast host, I’m building a different platform, but the goal remains the same: to share information—this time, clear and insightful news analysis—to foster informed discussions and a stronger sense of community.
As a proud American, my life has been dedicated to my family, community, and country. My academic foundation was built at Loyola University Chicago, where I earned a B.S. in Political Science, cultivating a lifelong passion for civic engagement. I’ve been a trailblazing entrepreneur for over two decades, founding and leading the nation’s first 100% woman-owned Managed Service Provider (MSP). As a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), I’ve combined deep technical acumen with strategic vision, breaking new ground in the tech industry and consistently delivering exceptional results for my clients.
My commitment to service extends beyond the corporate landscape. I’ve dedicated significant time to nonprofit organizations, providing pro bono IT consulting to help them navigate the digital age. A passion for education has led me to teach diverse subjects, from Sunday School to computer engineering courses and corporate training programs. As a sought-after public speaker, I’ve shared my expertise in technology, entrepreneurship, and leadership at venues like the Small Business Administration (SBA), mentoring aspiring professionals and small business owners.
I firmly believe in the transformative power of knowledge and human connection. This belief informs both my personal and professional life. As a devoted mother of two exceptional children, I prioritize nurturing their intellectual curiosity, empathy, and dedication to lifelong learning. My enduring friendships, some dating back to childhood, underscore the importance of mutual support and shared experiences, values I also prioritize in building strong teams and collaborative partnerships.
My family’s story is a testament to the American dream. Since 1912, six generations have embodied resilience, gratitude, and civic responsibility. Fleeing persecution, my ancestors sought refuge and opportunity in this country, instilling in each generation a deep appreciation for America’s freedoms and possibilities. This legacy of education, service, and community engagement inspires me daily.

From Fireside Chat to Podcast Chat
Growing up, staying informed was a way of life. Local newspapers arrived daily in my grandmother’s house, the radio played continuously, and evening news was a cherished ritual. These traditions sparked a profound appreciation for journalism, critical thinking, and thoughtful discussions.
I recognize America’s exceptionalism—not as perfection, but as a fragile treasure, much like a Fabergé egg, deserving admiration and care. Through my podcast, “The News Together,” I aim to revive the spirit of shared discourse—just as families once gathered around FDR’s Fireside Chats. Every American has a unique story, and I look forward to honoring many voices as we engage, listen, and grow together.
Let’s share, learn, and uphold the American dream—one conversation at a time.
